One painful, and dissapointing thing in the book ,"The Lion The Witch And The Wardrobe" was betrayal. It came up alot through out the book. How Edmund betrays his brother and sister for his own desire. I always wonder if such desire worth 4 lives or does four lives worth the name as king or the desire of food? Well Edmund was that person that thought desire worth more than his family including his brother and sisters. He lost his heart to deserts "Turkish Delights"!
Edmunds betrayal happened the first time he came to Narnia. The white whitch fooled Edmund on bringing his sisters and brothers to her. Just for those good tasting sweets he thought it was worth it just for those sweets is it worth it. Well no betrayal can be said the one thing that caused the most pain. Edmund doesn't know the rule of Narnia that if you betray someone or anyone that single person that caused the betrayal belogs to the witch. Edmund doesn't know it and caused pain not just normal pain to his brother and sisters but wider. He caused alot of pain to the narnians that believe in Aslan. They didn't know but if they did their last hope would be ruined.
Edmund's great betrayal just to be more extraneous made Aslan sacrifice his life just to save Edmund. This brought so much pain to lucy she was really alike to Aslan that happening stunned her.
After just right there i noticed that betrayal can bring pain. Betrayal can cause death betrayal is something very destructive it has such force to destroy someones heart and forever change how someone looks at you.
I can relate to your post about betrayal because of a lot of the time in my life I was betrayed by friends and I know how that feeling is.
